From June 1st through 26th, the Fraser Gallery will be displaying the works of finalists from the Bethesda Painting Awards. The annual awards exclusively honors painters with $14,000 in prizes monies, and this year nine finalists will be featured in the exhibit. April Sees DC Metro Area Home Sales Jump

(MRIS) are reporting a 25% increase in mid-Atlantic residential real estate sales for April 2010 versus the same month last year. Home sales in the mid-Atlantic region for the month also saw an average sales price increase of 4% from a year ago. The number of days houses stayed on the market dropped 26%. Home sales in Prince George's County experienced a significant sales increase of 85.6% from last April. The fastest selling homes were in Falls Church with an average of just 19 days on the market - a 73% percent drop from a 71 day average in April 2009. And Washington DC home sales in April were up 50% with average days on market dropping to 64 from 92 (30%).
